QA Engineer
What type of company is it?
Our client was founded in 2000 and have grown from strength to strength, they are a fully remote technology company, specialising in software for the insurance industry. Although you’ll be based from home, the team meet twice a year at a retreat (one in March, one in September). These are used as a time to share ideas, relax and get to know each other better.
What am I responsible for?
- Collaborating and integrating with other agile development team members to ensure the delivery of a product to specification.
- Creating manual and automated test scripts to verify functional and non-functional requirements of a product in various stages of the development cycle.
- Liaising with other engineers to ensure a joined-up testing approaches.
- Producing descriptive and concise reports that evidence the functionality of a product.
- Working as part of a DevOps/Agile team supporting activities.
- Building and maintaining UI & API test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Continually developing and enhancing relevant processes to improve productivity.
What would the ideal candidate bring?
- 2+ years of testing experience with writing test automation.
- Ability to work effectively independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience writing automates testing specifically in, API testing and Cypress.
- Knowledge of Git, GitHub, Azure Devops.
- API Testing skills e.g. RESTful
- Experience of working in fast-paced environments to strict deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Agile software delivery
- Understand CI/CD with the ability to integrate with Build pipelines.
