Motor Trade Sales Executive

What am I responsible for?
- Identify and approach potential motor trade clients to generate new business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their specific insurance requirements.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the insurance products and services offered by the company, especially those relevant to the motor trade industry.
- Effectively communicate product features, benefits, and coverage options to clients.
- Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand the unique insurance requirements of motor trade businesses.
- Provide expert advice to clients on suitable insurance solutions based on their needs.
- Work towards achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue from the motor trade sector.
- Prepare accurate and competitive insurance quotations for motor trade clients.
- Create compelling proposals outlining coverage details, terms, and conditions.
- Ensure all sales-related documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions affecting the motor trade insurance sector.
- Provide feedback to the Sales Manager regarding market insights.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with the customer service team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and challenges for management review.
What would the ideal candidate bring?
- Experienced in writing Motor Trade and Commercial products.
- Attention to detail and has previously presented/created risk presentations for internal/external customers.
- Firm understanding of FCA regulations imposed on Insurance Intermediaries.
- The desire to develop and is CII Certified or working towards.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within the insurance industry.
- Is highly motivated and sales-driven.
- Genuine desire to want to improve team & individual performance.
- Great people skills, can build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Can work by yourself but contribute to the team and work well within a collaborative and customer-focused environment.
- Strong PC skills, confident in using systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisation skills.
